Why Choose IWA-IP10

  • Safety-first design: dual-CPU control, ultrasonic bubble detection, 10-level occlusion + bubble settings and motor anti-reverse give multiple independent safeguards on every infusion.
  • True 10+ hour battery: 3000 mAh lithium pack runs > 10 h at 25 ml/h — the pump keeps delivering through power outages and inter-room transport.
  • Occlusion release function: auto-depressurise + restart after a blockage clears — cuts alarm fatigue and avoids unnecessary IV-set replacement.
  • Operator-friendly UI: numeric keypad + big 3.2″ color LCD beats scroll-wheel pumps for entry speed and night-shift readability.
  • Open-system IV compatibility: accepts any standard veterinary IV brand after a one-time calibration — no proprietary consumable lock-in.

Warranty & Support

1-year manufacturer warranty on hardware and software. Battery covered as a consumable under standard 6-month terms. Iwamed provides remote diagnostics, calibration support and spare-parts logistics through the local distributor.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can the IWA-IP10 use any IV set?
Yes — it is an open-system pump and accepts standard veterinary IV sets in 10 / 15 / 20 / 60 d/mL with tube diameter 3.4–4.5 mm. The first use of a new brand requires a one-time calibration, which is saved to the pump.
What happens during a power outage?
The 3000 mAh built-in lithium battery automatically takes over and provides > 10 h of cordless operation at 25 ml/h. The display shows remaining battery in real time, and the pump alarms in advance when the battery is low.
What is “occlusion pressure release” and why does it matter?
When a line becomes blocked, pressure builds up upstream of the obstruction. Many pumps simply alarm and stop, leaving the operator to manually relieve pressure. The IWA-IP10 automatically depressurises and resumes infusion once the blockage clears — reducing alarm fatigue and the need to replace IV sets.
Is the IWA-IP10 suitable for very small patients?
Yes — the 0.1 ml/h step at low flow rates and 50 μL ultrasonic bubble detection support neonatal canine, feline and exotic patients.
How is it cleaned between cases?
Wipe-down with standard veterinary disinfectant; the IPX3 splash-resistant chassis tolerates routine clinic cleaning protocols. Do not immerse the pump.
