The DR that follows the horse — iFlex-40, the portable equine system of the iPet AI-DR line.
Product Overview
Equine distal-limb imaging almost always happens at the stable or the track, not in a hospital. iFlex-40 is designed for the ambulatory equine veterinarian’s kit: a 1.6 kW portable X-ray head pairs with a large-format wireless panel for single-operator imaging on site — the horse never leaves its stall. Yard rounds, pre-race checks, lameness evaluation, pre-shoeing confirmation: review images on capture, sync them to the cloud, and bring a remote specialist into the read. The platform is in service with equine practices across multiple export markets.
Key Features
- Single-operator portable — imaging at the stable, the racetrack, and the trail.

FAQ
Q: Can it image the equine thorax or spine?
No. The 1.6 kW portable output is specified for the distal limb only (hoof, fetlock, metacarpus / metatarsus, carpus and tarsus); for trunk and cervical studies, use the iVision-630 fixed system.
Q: Can one person complete an examination?
The head weighs 8 kg and the panel 3 kg — a single operator can carry the kit and complete on-site imaging; restraint assistance depends on the individual horse.
Q: How are images reviewed on site?
On the laptop workstation immediately after capture; with connectivity, images sync to the cloud automatically so a remote specialist can read alongside you.
Q: How do I purchase?
Built to order — contact IWA to confirm configuration and lead time.
